i had a ticket 1 time 5 years ago to bury dog shit. no joke "locate backyard" it said. i called my co worker over the 2 way and asked him if he ever heard of a ticket such as this. we were cracking the hell up
I used to get tickets all the time at my local Cemetery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
I had an after hrs. "Emergency" call to bury a dead dog on a "SUNDAY"!!!!!!!!!
I get there right at the 2 hrs. and they had already dug and were giving the ceremony when I pulled up...
funny thing about it is it was directly across from a cemetary...
Once had a ticket to bury dog, only when I got to the house the dog wasn't dead yet. A very old, sickly dog was limply laying on the front stoop and the homeowner said he'd be put to sleep in the next few days. Poor old dog didn't know what was coming his way....
My boots may be red but I'm no clown.
Goddamn, it sounds like you guys have crosses to bare to with those depressing locates...
To cheer things up, I recently saw a ticket for removing a beaver dam.
"Excavate to remove beaver dam. There is a tel manhole in the area."
LOL

I got a ticket in a park once to "Excavate to expose beavers" I laughed about it for a week.
I've had multiple tickets for burying horses. Sad thing is they are usually called in before the animal is down. It's easier to lead the animal in and euthanize it IN the hole you see...
Worst one I've seen was an emergency request for digging out a guy that had the walls collapse on him in a 30ft trench...we never figured out who called in the request...the assumption was emergency services...the contact listed was the county.
Character is what you are in the dark. It is the things you do, when nobody can see, and nobody will ever know, that define who you are as an individual.

Never had any dog burials but I once got a ticket for "digging up time capsule . . . mark entire property" guess the dude forgot exactly where he buried that thing
That's pretty sad. Good for him for being specific on the dig area. I always tried to specifically thank people who did that.
Have had locate for " bury mans best Friend" locate nw corner of property. Had an after hours locate for "rescuing coon hound out of field tile."
