    Default Help finding Photographs

There is this thing people do and I don't know what they call it so I can't find it online.

They have an old photograph of an area and they hold it up in front of a camera at the exact spot the photograph was taken. So the new photograph is a picture of the old photograph with the surrounding area visible next to the old photograph. This way you see the old and new side by side.

    Any help would be great.

I found this online. It looks like it's called rephotography.

Yeah, I was going to say that my wifes Photoshop program can do that, the hardest thing to do is to blend the to raster layers. the newer programs will probably make this a bit easier than the older programs.

Nice. That is exactly what I was searching for. I've run across them over the years without finding out more about them. However, I find that when I see an old photograph of a building or place that I know still exists I always think of 'Rephotography' and think it would be fun to try. SO.... I'm gonna try it.

Thanks for the help you guys.
