    Default Food for thought.

"I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our disposition, and not upon our circumstances." -Marth Washington

"Whatever you are, be a good one." -Abraham Lincoln

A couple of things I came by today, thought they were worth sharing.

Yeah, very true stuff. Life sucks if all you do is worry about all the bad things that happen in the world on a daily basis. At the end of the day you should only worry about the things you can change and do what you've gotta do to get them changed. Life is too short to be worried and distraught all the time, enjoy what you can, while you can.

Grant me the power to change the things that I can, and accept the thing’s I can not.
From the 12 step program. Not my quote but from a dear friend. But in a nut shell it makes sense.

"Lord grant me the power to change those things I can, the strength to accept those that I cannot, and the wisdom to know the difference."

    My prefered variation goes:

"Lord grant me the power to change those things I can, the strength to accept those that I cannot, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those that PISS ME OFF!"
Character is what you are in the dark. It is the things you do, when nobody can see, and nobody will ever know, that define who you are as an individual.

"Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have ... The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases." — Thomas Jefferson

    Is it that important?
Hmm, life or death, that's important,
    could the decision kill me?
Yes, then it's worth worrying about,
no, then it's not a big deal
BUT! If it kills me, then I won't care, so it's not worth worrying about!
    Short version,
1, don't sweat the small stuff,
    2, it's ALL small stuff!
