    Default Favorite in truck lunch.

I just wondered what's everyone's favorite on the go, got no time to eat real lunch, food?

I always keep canned sardines or tuna and crackers in the truck for those I'm starving, but got no time days.

It's either PB&J or turkey 'n swiss for me, with some sliced veggies to snack on, but that's only when I feel like eating right. Otherwise anywhere with a drive thru will do.

The container that the Big Mac comes in makes a pretty good tray when opened, put the Big Mac in a napkin so as not to drop the extra sauce that you ordered on it,french fries in one side, lots of ketchup in the other.Lots of practice with this.Every other day Taco Bell.

Every morning, Best cup of coffee in town with daily made fresh pastries.

Lunch, 2 slices of pizza and drink for $4 on tuesdays, Lasagna special w/ a drink on wed.

Mondays, Thusdays and Fridays dirty water dogs or fresh deli sandwiches with chips and a drink (sometimes homemade soup or chili instead of chips, depending on how cold it is outside).

Locally we have a chain of convenience stores called Maverick. Maverick has a little bakery in it where they make sandwiches and pizza. The pizzas are little overpriced 6" bites of greasy heaven. Throw in a pop with that and you have what I call a locators lunch. It has to be eaten in the cab of the truck or pulled over, sitting on the grass with your truck door open and the radio playing.

I would take that lunch over any other.

Hate to admit that Im one lazy ass in the morning, its all I can do to have a coffee and get to work.. so.. bfast *and* lunch are truck meals (very rare to sit down in a restaurant..its frowned on).. with coffee's, a usual day is $10 in food/drink. Yep.. $200/mo.. not that diy home grub is free either.. I figure im 'splurging' $100-$150/mo. Consider it a 'premium service' (similar to some guys get HBO etc in their sat/cable package.. some dont).

(I do like to keep a few granola bars in my kit in case I get stuck somewhere though..)

canned pineapple, great value brand. 1.00 per day lunch for the win. Unless a fellow employee calls me and coerces me to get something greasy that I love, like China King, this is normally my lunch.

I used to blow 5-10 dollars a day, but I just stopped. 365x 5.00 is alot of money just for some food. I'm a cheap bastard.
