    Default DOT stimulus

    We have two new DOT projects slated for our area. They are just maintenance but it seems that some of the money is starting to flow. Anybody got any stimulus funded jobs coming up?

    dude ...here in louisiana ...there are so many road and bridge projects that i can hardly keep up.....not only that!!! water sewer projects are getting out of hand too!!! on one levy road alone i have 3 bridges in a row getting new facelifts!!! more OT for me !!!

    D'oh Sign installs. When I first started locating a few years back, I was in the middle of one county installing signs at the driveway of every address in the rural areas... fun...

    Yeah.. we have some Stim money coming our way. Three projects that I know if so far slated for this year.

    I have submitted 3 proposals in the last 2 weesks for projects that are being funded by stimulus money. One of these is over $500,000 in S.U.E. work. Hope that this is just the start of things coming back around.

    Kinda!

    The Conservative government (the Canadian equivelent to the Republicans) passed a bill giving money out to the usual suspects including the banks, the auto sector, various government projects AND to anyone doing home/cottage renos in 2009.

    As I am in the middle of tons of renos around this old money pit, errr I mean house, the renos now become tax deductable. I guess I catch a break...pun intended!

    Of course, few people will actually be able to take advantage of it as they would have had to save the money first, unless they borrow it, so I am not really sure how much stimulus it will create.

    At the moment in Canada, from what I understand, unless you already have an existing line of credit, it is not likely you will be able to get a loan....

    Smart thinking these Conservatives.
    Give the people something that few can actually take advantage of...
