Plese give an estimate of how many tickets per 8 you are supposed to do in your areas. just wanting to compare across the company (usic)

we are asked to do 25 per day... i do anywhere from 15-40 a day

I dont get this 'tickets' thing. So say Im locating in a laneway.. just tele. 3 peds, 2 cables travel between all 3, the middle one has a lateral from it, and each ped has say 10 buried services.
I only have to paint the laneway, not into the yards.

For us that would be one 'ticket'. Booked window (we meet the contractor/etc on site for all locates) would be either 1 or 2 hours.
Meet, BS, do the locate, paperwork/photos, drive to the next one.
We expect no hits at all. A hit drop might get mentioned, but thats about it.. a hit 25 and up would be manager mentioned to you.
No one has ever had a big hit..
If needed, our guys can force a rebook for more time, or work overtime on it (or someone else goes the next day/etc on it for them.)

Seems reasonable to me, usually all up to the dispatcher if they give you that extra hour or not (some need it, some dont)

One ticket would have four loctes on it, possibly more if they were on the edge of limits for phone or catv. On that ticket we would have to locate the phone, gas, electric and catv. On the phone you mentioned we would have to locate the cables and the 10 drops at least 10-15' of over mark and show direction. also sometimes the guys burying the drop will drop down into the row. On 3 ways they use to want 2 per hour or 16 in 8 hrs, With four ways they added 7 minutes and wanted 13 in the same 8 hr period if my memory is correct.

So in my example, ped1 would have 14 cables terminating in it. ped2 would have 15, ped3 would have 14.
