How much to book your favorite band?

If we come up with 10K we can get Clutch to play at the annual CableVine cookout this year!

No kidding! I'd pay 50 bucks to slap him.

Same thing with Bon Jovi. I remember them opening for Ratt back in the day and begging us to call the radio station and ask them to play Bon Jovi... they still suck.

I've always been fond of Bon Jovi. I know he's a raving liberal but his music has a place in my past. I saw him 3 times over the years. I remember Cinderella opened for them twice and I forget who opened for him the 3rd time.

    Cinderella is another favorite.

I'm a music lover of all kinds but the I love the heavy stuff most. COC is my favorite. Seen them live at the Shoreline Amphitheater outside of San Fran in the early 90's. They were the best act of seven that weekend. I could post a ton of thier videos. Instead, you should just google: Seven Days, Echoes in the Well, or my election year favorite, Vote with a Bullet. Hell anything on the Blind CD. Intelligent lyrics. Not one track on that CD that doesn't totally rock.

    Excellent cruising tune.

RIP Kurt, born the same year as me and Layne.

If Kurt were alive today, his hands would be bloody stumps from 20 years of scratching and clawing at the inside of his coffin trying to get out.

That recreation doesn't take into account the effect 20 years of drug abuse would have had on him. I'm guessing Kurt wouldn't look much different than Courtney by now. Heroine is evil. He went out with a bang. She'll go out with a whimper. Poor girl. Who knows what they could have been.

Kurt was hooked on H/coke?. Courtney looks like She was on meth/booze. JMHO. If she made it this far I think she might have figured it out - that drugs are bad and deadly.

When you start to wear gloves, shades and long sleeves in live appearances (re: Layne Staley) to hide your addiction - it's bad. Folks can be hooked on H for many years and you would never know. Maintenance is a bitch though and heroin has stolen too many young lives. Rotten shit!!!

Last year in my state they said there was over 280 OD's on heroin. You get hooked, you wake up (after bottoming out/ODing) and quit. You get an itch to do it again, see an old friend or whatever- JUST ONCE - and shoot the same dose you did when you tolerance was up and then you OD and die. Lights out for ever.

Heroin is the f*king devil!! To many young lives are taken. I personally have never seen heroin or used. But I have seen it ruin a few lives around me.

When I was in school back in the day the "heads" would smoke pot. What a sin that was back then... if only we had a pot problem now.

One of my favorite cruising tunes! Layne Staley / AIC (RIP buddy)

Looks like he's flying high too...
