Name calling is the last resort of a weak argument and a weak mind. These same minds often confuse intelligence and integrity with arrogance.

That is a very wise saying, grasshoppa.

    A few more I like:

It's all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again. Just be sure to flush when you're done.

The best way to save face, is to keep the lower part of it shut.

JayC you don't even have to go out of your way to get your locates done on time.
    - Don't ignore the locator when he calls you from his random-ass number.
    - White line it. (Hell, even one white flag can help a lot.)
Do those two things. Also, try not to act like an entitled prick, or like the locator personally owes you anything, because he doesnt'. He is keeping you from killing someone, and you need his expertise. take a number. get in line.

If that is all already part of your every day, and I'm preaching to the choir... then I feel that you have the obligation to keep making calls until your useless-ass locator gets a kick in the ass or you get a shiny new locator. Of course,If he's locating gas or electric, then a shiny new locator is more dangerous than an old lazy one, so you're screwed.

as for how many contractors you cant reach there are almost the same amount of locators that don't get it
you need to remember there is a 1call center that takes the calls and the utilities make rules on how tickets can get called in
I was a locator for over 15 years and now i am a contractor the way i talked to people was the way i wanted to be talked to (treat everyone the way you want to be treated)
