    Default Christmas 2009

    2 weeks to Christmas!
Have you done all your Christmas shopping?

I enjoy the upcoming Holidays, the time off with pay and time spent with my family. I seldom spend more than $300 for gifts, and this year is no different for me. My motto: Why should I buy stuff people don't need, with money I don't have for people I don't like?

I'd recommend giving all of the money you don't have directly to me Wing. Just PM me for my home address. I prefer cash but accept personal checks.

Most of our shopping is done, and has been since the week before Thanksgiving. I just have to get stuff for the ..... Mother in law of DOOM .....

I was thinking a necklace of Garlic Cloves, or maybe a new Cauldron.... not sure yet.

I just give money now. I hate the crowds and I don't like people.

I have not gotten a single thing.

We usually get together at one family members house. Before that names are drawn and we each buy for that person within a price range. We do this since all the kids are grown up.

Found out two days ago nobody drew names this year so now
I have to re-budget and buy for everybody.

I need to diet anyway, if I give up eating for two months I might cover the cost of Christmas this year.

We finished 99% of our shopping before easter. Usually we finish the day after Christmas.

    Okay, took care of it.

Since the rest of the group meeting is four adult couples I figure I would get them each some wine. Doing my Christmas shopping in a liquor store could be part of a My Name is Earl episode.

So in exchange of my laying down $187.53 I get to leave the store with four bottles of champagne. If anybody complains of my choice I will take all the damn bottles, get a 5 pound back of cheese doodles and pig out.

I may barf up those orange doodle but French wine and cheese - I are a sophisticated feller. opcornsmile:

My brother-in-law and his wife decided to make a difference this Christmas for a family in need. Their church has a list of deserving families to adopt for Christmas. My in-laws purchased grocery gift cards for the parents and toys for the kids; ages 7 & 5. My in-laws will spend Christmas Day with this family and will include a big Christmas dinner.

Thats a noble thing Wing (yeah that sounds funny). But really, to think about others is what the season is about. Only hope if I end up in a position like that my kids wont have to suffer. My shopping usually takes place on Christmas eve., give or take about five minutes.

You should at least get a coupon (that's koopin for Ron White fans) for a turkey.

Many firms use these so you can get a Butterball turkey at the grocery store. Actually if your read the koopins you will find many are actually traveler's checks. You can take them to the liquor store and cash them. (daddy, why are we having baloney sandwiches for Christmas dinner?
Because the company don't wanta put out for for turkeys anymore! Eat your sandwich and pass daddy a beer)
