Default Be careful opening gates from now on.

This is what I found when I tried to open a gate today. I grabbed it and picked it up not knowing what it was... luckily it was sprung already.

Want a really good laugh? Get one of those fake cans of mixed nuts with the springy-snake in it. Take the snake out and put it in a home J-box and then call in a locate. Make sure whoever opens it has a good strong heart I was hit like that when I was just a newbie. Earlier that day was my first big Bee in a Ped scare so I was already jumpy enough. I nearly crapped myself.

daman1 it may be good for a laugh, but you should never call in a fake locate. If I found out someone called in a fake locate so they could play a trick on someone I would be furious. We have enough work without going to fake locates.

You're very right UULC, when I was hit like that, I was sent to mark the cable while the J-box was being set up. Never actually called in a locate myself and I certainly shouldn't encourage it.
