    Steve,

If you're in a college town, you need to follow the lead of a company in Oklahoma called "Pizza Shuttle". Good, cheap pizza, they set the prices up in such a way that, with tax, it always comes out to a whole dollar amount, and they deliver until like 3am. College kid's, (and stoner's...but I'm being redundant), dream come true. Put targets on the pizza box for re-use at the range, and everyone will love you.

This is good info. I've been printing out menus and saving them in a 3 ring binder for future reference. This one is going in the "binder".

best of luck to you. I am going to school to learn more about bike repair and will be opening a bike repair / brewery with my son and family. I have 2 head brewers at breweries here in albuquerque in the family now and hope to steal them for my brewery. the thing I am looking at is definitely location, location, location. we have some great mountain bike trails here as well as a big bike community.

There are 3 things to live for.

    1. bikes
    2. brews
    3. pizza

you should add a simple pizza menu. (just my humble and biased opinion )

Keep in mind that you're asking the guy who keeps random tampon boxes around his house.

    Steve,

I hope you are well. Thank you for providing this forum for those of us in the utility locating industry. I hope too get out of this line of work soon. This job will slowly tear you down, break you apart piece by piece........if you let it. Sadly, Slowly , and almost unknowingly, I let it tear me apart.......mind, body, and soul. I just hope I am around long enough to see USIC. it's board, exec. officers, & TP arrested, convicted, & sodomized in prison (don't really want to see this in person) for what they have done to so many.

    Best of luck to you!

Consider this. Few pizza joints are open for breakfast. Most are closed 10 to 12 hours a day. Instead of letting the equipment lay unused do something in those hours.

Hire a night manager and crew and make ready made pizza for off site cooking. There is a gas station near me that had pretty good pizza. Then they changed their supply and quality fell hard. I think making a good pizza with the emphasis on the long term building of a brand name. Something like Gas Station Pizza. Build enough demand you put other business owners worker to work for you. You get dozens or hundreds of sales sites without the cost of opening them yourself.

Well... things aren't too exciting for me. After the BIG RIDE I came home and did a whole lot of nothing for a while. I cut back on my biking and stayed out of the heat for the most part. Since I no longer had an income I was living off my savings and didn't want to waste it so I took it very easy. No unnecessary trips etc.... Then, while at a local bar I met a woman named Lauren. She and I became pretty good friends (no, not that good). In late November she told me about a guy she knew who was looking for somebody to help him at a business fixing espresso machines, coffee machines and juice machines. That sounded pretty good. I went and talked to him and I got the job. So... today I am an espresso machine repairman. It's pretty easy work and it is all inside. No more rain, sleet, snow, blazing sun and obnoxious home owners.

I miss locating but this gig ain't too bad. I'm getting paid a decent wage and there is no stress whatsoever. I get to drive all over the place to fix these things so somedays all I do is drive. Yesterday I drove to Sun Valley Idaho and got to work in one of the ski lodges. Apparently Anthony Robbins was in town and the lodge manager was telling me how Anthony Robbins shows up with semi's full of equipment for his seminars and he basically takes over the town. I didn't see him but that's okay.

As for the pizza place, that is still in the plans. The business I work for (see first paragraph) was just sold and the new owner will be taking over this Monday. I'm told I still have a job but that could change. Otherwise I'm slowly accumulating the things I need for a pizza place. A month or two ago I found a pizza oven on craigs list for about 1/6th what it normally sells for. I got it home and got it working just fine.

Today, however, I'm nursing a cold so I'm gonna cut this a bit short.
