Default Applying with USIC in St. Charles Missouri

Hey everyone, I did a phone interview with USIC last week. They told me I did great and want to do a face to face interview with a DM. I have a few questions. I was told they do not have any openings but I should recieve a call in a few weeks. My questions are:
Do any of you work for USIC in the St Louis area?
Are they really gonna call me or are they just blowing smoke?
Is there a high demand for locators in the area?
How is USIC to work for?

I am new to this industry and this will be my first locating job. I am moving to Missouri from Florida to take this position if I get it so this is kind of nerve racking being that I don't know anyone in the industry. I have been a cop for the past 4 years so it's gonna be a big move and a big change for me. Thank you fellas for any help.

I did a phone interview and a competency test. they sent me a e-mail that i put at the bottom.I was rejected and told I was not rehire-able. I was trying to get a job in Texas. I worked for them for 4 years and let go for MOR's.

I now drive a semi in the lower 48 and Mexico and Canada. Over 70,000 miles and no MOR's.

Thank you for your interest in the Utility Locate Technician position position in Cisco/Eastland. We appreciate the time you spent exploring opportunities with us.

At this time, we have decided to pursue other candidates whose expectations and qualifications more closely match the position requirements.

Again, thank you for your interest in USIC.

    Regards,
    USIC Human Resources

That is the nice way of them telling me thank, but no thanks. I set a bad example for my employees who worked for me. I was a suppervisor. I was in the wrong on two of them. the rest were unfounded.

They will wait to move ahead until they have enough people for a training class. Unless its been months but you still should get a call either way.

I have been with Usic for 21 years. But before that it started out as a family company. I have no regreat or would I work for another locating company. They have been my success in the field. I have seen a ton of changes in the years I have been here but have stuck it out and have seen a company go from mom and pop, family co. to the best in the nation

Personally, I wouldn't make the move from Fl to work for any locating company if I had any other option at all.
