16" Water Main Break

I just got home from this emergency. This is a 16" water main break. The photos do not do justice. This line was roaring like crazy and the ground was shaking. The flow was maybe 75 to 100' in the air.

I try to take advantage of these to wash my co. truck! Of course, one of your hook-ups was probably right under where this was falling.

I haven't seen a gyser in a while. I'm not looking forward to watermain break season but it is definately right around the corner.

It will be here before you know it. I haven't seen a geyser in a while either, and that's a good thing. When you get one of those up here in the dead of winter it looks like the set of a sci-fi movie.

I did drive under the water for a truck wash but it was also throwing up pieces of rock. MLGW the Wate crew used a jack hammer to pop a hole in the asphalt so as not to totally undermine the road. The road was still sagging though.

My hook up was on the corner and my FOC was clear.
