Slot Cars

Well I've not been on the site in a while. My son and I started a new project. We are building a 5x12 slot car track to race 1/32 slot cars on. Here are a few pics of our progress so far.

Anyone else ever into the slot cars? I haven't raced slots since I was a teenager and can't wait to get the track done.

Golden, keep posting updates till you are finished. I have never seen one built from scratch.

I have been racing HO's for about 15 years. Nothing real competitive anymore, but I hold races once a month in my garage.

That's cool. I'm hoping to host some races if this works. I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm having fun doing it.

Hell I don't even own any slot cars yet. I gotta get on ebay and get some test subjects.

Well I got a little more done. I'm working on getting the banking down. Then I just gotta wait for the track braid to arrive.

did this cut into your ice fishing this winter? I have to go get my new fishing license. The rivers are high and cold and running, walleye got to be biting now

This definately didn't interfere with ice fishing. I just started building this two weeks ago. The walleye run should be full bore this weekend. I'll be up at the Petenwell Dam on Saturday.

The track is almost finished.

I haven't even got my new fishing license yet. The white bass have been biting in the rock river. A lot of high areas on rock and bark, but rock has good flow and cold so I need to get out before the walleye quit biting

Paintit....I've got my license but haven't been out much. This weather sucks too bad.

hard part is going to find those little RVs and folding chairs to glue on top of them to put in the center

I would like to get some 1/32 scale emergency vehicles and people and other scale stuff but just waiting until I get more slot cars first.

I did get a little more stuff done on the track also.

I wish I had some more time to build one too
