I cannot count the times I have seen this before.

There are movies and TV shows that spread the myth that you can just cut primary or clip onto a wire with just 12 volt jumper cables.

I saw one TV show where a guy on a pole connected car jumper cables to electric primary to power 120 volt stuff back on the ground.

Even connecting to the 120 / 240 volt bus can be a real danger if anything goes wrong. The only fuse protection is on the primary side of the transformer and the fusing schedule is often twice the rated load of the transformer.
If someone gets tangled in a 120 volt circuit fed by a 50KV transformer the fuse may not blow until 100,000 watts are flowing thrugh the persons body.

I have known people who tangled with those 120 volt circuits. The current cooks the meat on the inside and you cannot tell how bad it is until the flesh starts dying. So the first day they cut off some fingers, a few days latter the hand and then keep going up the arm until the flesh stops dying. It is pretty horrific laying in a hospital bed watching parts of your body being cut off and not knowing where it will stop.

What is the provennce of the photos?? I don't see any boiled-out body fluids, which leaves me to beleive that these are crash dummies.
I do, however, live on the Oregon Coast, so our local 'methies' ARE THIS DUMB!!

Well, I guess these are/were Dummies . But No, these are not Crash Dummies. This happened in Dallas a few weeks ago. Pictures were sent to all the major utilities and locating companies.
