    Default "Snowmageddon"

Stunning Photos From The 2010 Washington D.C. Snow Storm

Hey ifindit - "Snowmageddon" looks brutal! 30" already and more coming? Last year you got hit with the biggest snow storm ever recorded in December in Washington D.C. In fact, approximately 50 percent of the United States is now covered in snow. Maybe it's time to kick Al Gore in the nutz?

Now come on Wing, Big Al already said this storm was caused by Global Warming! Don't worry Ifindit, it will definitely melt by August!

Maybe someone should point out to Al that IT'S WINTER and snow storms happen during that time.

So what is the deal now with this CRAP???? Mini Ice Age first THEN Global Warming and the snow will melt and floods and blah blah blah blah.

30" of snow? I feel warmer already.

I am in that area and it is bad but could be worse. With more snow coming Tuesday and Wednesday, and maybe next weekend, it will be worse.

I just finished shoveling out behind my personal car so I can reach the street. Taking a break before shoveling out the car so I can open it's doors. I parked just far enough off the street to keep clear of the plows and cut short the amount I have to shovel.

Friday night I shoveled out the front door so it would open in the morning but that did not work out. Had to climb out and shovel the front door clear to get back in.

Luckily kept power and CATV so I am not complaining too loudly. For winter storms I have a backup kerosene heater with several days of fuel, bottled water, food, candles and reading material.

32" here at the office, spent 4 hours this morning cleaning off vehicles and getting vac trucks running. May not have work for my crews till next week.

My personal car at the office. Will probably be driving a company truck till Spring.

As of 7 am, 11 February 2010, 48 states have snow on the ground. According to The Weather Channel, the remaining 2 states, Louisiana and the panhandle of Florida, should get snow later today. "Global Warming," my ass...........

It has been snowing in DFW since about 0500 this a.m.. We were all told to stay home today. Expecting about 3" - 5" accumulation. Don't laugh, it might be our area's largest snowstorm. We need a snowman smilie Steve!

    Here ya go Spray.

We get alot of snow in Wisconsin. We got about 12-14 inches this last storm but I can't imagine the amounts you guys have been getting. Do the contract locating companies get any work in the winter or do most crews shut down for the winter?

From the Dallas Morning News this a.m.:"By 9 p.m. Thursday, a record 9.4 inches of snow had fallen at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, smashing the area’s previous record for one calendar day of 7.8 inches, set in 1917 and matched in 1964. "

What the Hell? This ain't supposed to happen down here! Someone left the barn door open last night!! I wonder if Mexico needs experienced locators?

Seriously, it is beautiful but it's going to make for a messy work day unless the Boss tells us to stay home again, which he probably will. In that case, we will end up working this weekend.

I have about 3 1/2 feet of snow outside, drifts are higher. There is more snow coming here Monday or Tuesday. You sound short of snow, I'll send you some.

That's really nice of you! We ended up with 12 1/2 inches at DFW airport ! Nearly doubled the old record. Damned Al Gore isn't putting out enough hot air about Global Warming!
