I saw it happen in the Navy. Poor Sailor can't get a girlfriend back home so he finds one overseas. They get married, get back to the States, the family comes to the States, she drains the bank account and takes off.

Hey Steve - You are right! There is a once divorced, unemployed drunk in my neighborhood who has been married to a Philippino gal for the last 8 years. She rules the house, and his money, with an iron fist. The bitch kicked out the guy's 17 year old son as soon as he brought her home. The drunk didn't try to intervene; he just let it happen. The son became a friend to my family (we love him as our own) after all this and is in the NAVY now. Good kid............

This guy's Philippino wife immediately made his house into a safe house for Philippino people. She has made a business bringing Asians into Kansas City, providing them a place to stay and then marrying them to an American. I don't know if the union is ever consummated (I'm afraid to ask), but divorce papers are immediately filed. As soon as the divorce is final, she kicks them out of the house to make room for more. I don't know if it's for green card status, to get on the government teat or just what's going on, but this house is like a puppy mill for Philippinos. The house is always wall to wall Asiains.

I am not sure if they consummated the marriage or if it was part of the deal. Back when I was overseas there was tines people would come up to guys to marry a philipino girl and bring her to the USA. They would pay the military guy $5K and once in the USA they would get a divorce. Before the internet they actually had a booklet that philipino women looking for marriage out there. Those philipino girls(bar girls) are as crazy if they caught you with another bar girl while there and you were her boyfriend she would take out those butterflies knives and cut you. That is what the old salts would warn us about lol
