The next thing you need to do is grab a Go-Pro and post a video of a lap.

Don't forget that final pre-race inspection..............

....... Ride it till the wheels fall off isn't always the best plan.

First races were a blast. Placed 1st in Heavyweight Twin Superbike and Heavyweight Twin Superstock, 3rd in Senior Superbike, 5th in Solo 20 Lap Superbike, and 6th in A Superbike (all novice class). Got my WERA professional race license and ready for Barber Motorsports Park the end of this month to do it again!

All new racers with WERA are classified as Novice and their first race they have to wear an orange shirt so other racers know they are new and to watch out for them (as in doing stupid stuff). I don't have to wear one going forward!

Don't think less of me..... if possible.

So my brother is a Speed freak as well. I don't think he's at the level you are, but he has attended open track days at several tracks in California and Nevada. (He did race dirt bikes on an amature level for a while as well)

He started on a (at the time new) 1994 GSX-R 750. He had it long enough he did quite a few upgrades to it to make it quicker..(907cc cylander kit, stage III jet kit, etc....)

He Decided he wanted a new bike, so he bought a brand spaking new GSX-R 1000. I convienently bothered the hell out of him enough to where he gave me his old bike. He was even nice enough, he rented a Uhaul and brought both bikes up so we could tool around a little before he rode his bike back to california.

Having a bike like that tought me a few things....

    1) don't wear tan pants unless you have really thick underwear.
    2) Some bikes don't like the speed limit
    3) i'm a puss

On a serious note... You definately need a bike that fits your skill level. I ultimately sold the bike to someone who had more skill then I did. I however did ride it enough to crave one that fits my style.... like a vespa.

Kudos to you for being semi insane like my brother.
