The driver sheared off the traffic light post at the base, and then kept driving about a 1/2 mile further to Uncle Harley's tap, where he stopped for more beer!! How impaired do you have to be to NOT notice that you are carrying a stop light? (maybe it was because the light stayed green?)

The truck was towed about 12.5 miles to Fred's towing yard, with the light still locked between the two tow hooks and pinched into place with the bent bumper.



It took several good hard pulls with a backhoe to get the pole free.



This is a perfect example of DRUNK driving!

I was on call this week and am still amazed at how many drunks try to eat power poles on there way home. It seems like the power poles always win. I think a few of the calls I went to this week ended up with people in body bags.
