I started out with the commanders boots from walmart, which were $40. I found that they would last about 3-6 months. seemed to leak and the side would split on me. Went with bates and the gortex liner. I liked that the tongue was sewed all the way up and with the liner if they side split I had the liner and didn't have to use piggly wiggly shopping bags. Also If the leather held up I could get a resole out of them. My local army/navy store was getting more difficult in getting them and they rose their prices. My friend has used cabella's and on a cabella's sale and bought them and they lasted a whole season so went with them. also with my use of the credit card I could amass enough points to gt a new pair when they went on sale. Now I have two brand new pairs and out of the locate field. I am trying to decide if I should keep them or put them on sale on facebook. Kind of been holding on to them in case I find a locate company willing to pay$21/hr to come back to hassle. I use the used pair when cutting wood and stuff. I am going through my closest now gathering things for the local men's shelter. Picking up packages of socks( socks are always in need at them) for it, might throw one of the pairs in with the stuff.

The homeless shelter can use the boots for those trying to get some pickup construction work.

Your supervisor reads this and they know they need to double your work load.
