I was just walking around the property of the resort where the CGA conference is being held and came upon some Florida Gobblers...Nice sized bird!

Damn things are rats with wings.

There is a flock of damn near 50 of the things (12 or 13 toms) that literally SWARM the corral when I feed the horses in the AM. The toms (many with 9-10 inch beards) have even been known to attack the wranglers out here if they're carrying a bucket of grain. They spur like a dang game rooster.

I hate'em.

Turkeys down this way are everywhere the last few years. It's funny if you pull up near a flock of them and honk your horn they gobble back at you. I just sit there beeping the horn and laughing at how dumb they are. They sure are delicious though.
