My back got sore just watching him work. I envisioned a tragic ending to the story. Instead, it was a man's evolution to overcome the impossible. The solution just took him 17 attempts.

I enjoyed this YouTube post because I have done exactly the same thing as this guy. I have done many transmission swaps by myself, under my cars, on my back. Using my knees and left hand to steady the tranny while poking bolts thru the bellhousing with my right hand. My first 3 or 4 tranny jobs were done completely by using open-end, box-end wrenches (never again). My first clutch replacement taught me the value of a clutch alignment tool:

He must have forgotten about the transmission jack hiding in the corner of the garage......

If nothing more, the tires would have worked, all he had to do was LOWER the car while the transmission was supported by the stack of tires. Not a good thinker.
