    No one was injured when a four-inch gas main was ruptured just south of Route 34 on South Ben Street in Plano around 10:00 Tuesday morning.

    According to Little Rock-Fox Fire Chief Greg Witek, A T & T workers hit the gas main while they were drilling to set utility poles.

    Chief Witek says that no homes had to be evacuated because of the windy weather.

    According to Chief Witek, Workers from NICOR actually used cutting torches to repair the gas main.

    Witek says the gas main was repaired around 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, and no residents in Plano lost natural gas service because of the ruptured gas main.
