• Gas service line ruptured near Mo's Irish Pub in 'Tosa

Happy Hour at Mo's Irish Pub in Wauwatosa hit a snag late Friday afternoon.

A road construction crew in the area hit a gas service line near Highway 100 and Blue Mound Road at about 4:45 p.m.

Westbound Blue Mound Road was closed for about an hour, but traffic was tied up in the area longer than that.

We Energies was able to cap the gas line in about an hour, but it needed to be replaced.

Mo's couldn't serve any hot food for a couple of hours.

"Considering construction has been a minor inconvenience for the summer, we're used to little inconveniences, so we'll roll with the punches and get people some good food and some good drink," Mo's Irish Pub Manager Cecil McGrew said.

He said they could still serve customers cold food and drinks.

"It's awful," hostess Ashley Dobson told Wauwatosa Patch. "Mo's was not evacuated this time, but for about 45 minutes, no one was allowed to leave or enter."

Another gas line was ruptured in the area a few months ago that also affected the bar and restaurant.

But as frustrating as it was for those at Mo's, commuters in the area are dealing with a lot of construction fatigue.
