Ok. I know i've talked about training before (i.e. http://www.thecablevine.com/forum/bl...ing-thing-116/ ) But I'm really thinking we need to work something into the rotation about informing people how to properly locate. I feel bad for the little guys who just get released out on their own and they face their first of many situations that make them want to quit.

The great news is that they are very knowledgable about Radio frequency and that the lower the frequency ...

So.... I met with the contractor this morning. Walked them through and let them know we located the main runs, but their is a crap load of empty, unlocateable conduits in the area and they should be running with or parallel to the live utilities. And I proceeded to leave.

Everyone has their own opinions about it,, but here are several key opportunities that could come from unionization.

Better wages ( that cover more than just union dues.)
    Better and more affordable healthcare

I know i'll get knee jerk responses stating that you are the "bee's knees" to directional drilling and that the following statements do not pertain to you and your operation.... Good on ya! Obviously there are guys out there that do not follow the typical standards put forth by the majority of HDD operators near my area.

To those of you HDD operators in my area....

Why do you care about the utilities in the work area only after it has been damaged or like ...
