    I do wish it happened earlier in the day, but either way, I still was asked to leave.

    I now have been one of the selected few to be evacuated from a public agency because of a non-discript envelope that was mailed with a small ammount of wite powdery substance. The paper inside just read, "Anthrax."

    The best part of it was the E-mail that was sent out telling the company what happened refered to the, "white powder" as "white power." ...

  2. Well, It finally happened...

    The powers at my work have officially decided (and has proceeded to) relieve my Co-worker of his employment from the company.

    So Now i'm officially flying solo. I was hoping that they were going to fill the position so I can have someone during the construction season to train and get up and running to ease the work load. Unfortunately they have decided to "ride" things out a little.

  3. Circling the drain...

    My on-going saga...

    I went out into the field yesterday to do a "Diagnostic locate" which pretty much means to figure out exactly whats going on in a certian area with a certian utility to clean it up for mapping purposes. Its something we do to keep our maping system as current and as accurate as it can be.

    This utility and area has been marked by my coworker at least 5 times in the past 3 years. Once he had exposed pipes to go off of. Because of this, ...

  4. Where is the common sense?

    So there I am, waist deep in a conversation with a co-worker about what he can do to keep his job. I've been directly working with him for about two months or so trying to help him understand what exactly we do here. You figure I wouldn't have to describe these tasks in that much detail to someone who has almost 1/3 more time locating then I have. But I do.
