Oh and wing, 'Dirty Laundry' was released in 1982 (8-11-82 to be exact) and FOX didn't become a network until 1986 (10-9-86 to be exact) and FOX NEWS didn't come along until MUCH MUCH later. It's obvious this particular concert happened way after 9 October 1986. I did not want to reference Rupert Murdock as the inspiration for the song. Don had many hits with the Eagles. Dirty Laundry was Henley's first hit as a solo artist.

Henley values his privacy, and hates it when reporters pry into his personal life. Henley had to deal with increased press attention when his girlfriend, Maren Jensen, came down with Epstein-Barr Syndrome. She recovered, but they broke up soon after. Dirty Laundry is a song written about unscrupulous newspeople doing anything for a story. The lyrics make fun of news anchors who are more concerned with their looks than accurately reporting the news. Many local news stations have at least one "bubble headed bleach blond."

In November of 1980, Henley was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of marijuana, cocaine, and Quaaludes after paramedics treated a 16-year-old girl suffering from drug intoxication at his Los Angeles home. I do agree with you in regards to Cleaning House in the 'REAL' Business World. Unfortuneately we have already SEEN what lengths Washignton will go to to SAVE their buddies who run companies into the ground (and make SIGNIFICANT contributions to Washington). Let me put it in Locator Terminology: How many of us have seen what Hiring a Manager with NO EXPERIENCE in Locating does to a company? We have ALL seen it and we have ALL bitched about it. Let's say that Manager came from Fed-Ex or UPS, I'm sure that person was REALLY good at those companies (so why does he want to be a Manager with a Locating Company?). Does that Manager have CLUE 1 as to what his new people do on a daily basis? Does that Manager even BOTHER to learn about his new career path or does he just sit in the office?
Another example of being unqualified. How many of us out there on 'The Vine' served in the military and held a Security Clearance Top Secret or higher? Obama told a supporter today who asked a question about why they would tax him more for being successful.
