i was thinking of getting one cuz my back kills me from putting those flags in. has anyone tried the flag insertion tool made by Presco?:Titanic::Titanic:

You still have to bend over to put the flag in the ground. Those tools are handy if the ground is super hard but more than not it's just more shit to carry.

Do you guys have to flag all locates (other than pavement etc of course) ? We use 2 ft wood stakes for stuff in the deep grass etc, but no flags.
I can see how bending over to push in small flags all day would indeed wear out your back.

We are required to flag all locates. And yes flagging is a back killer. Especially with the plastic shafted flags.:(

i originally thought that the insertion tool shot the flags into the ground. the more i think about it their has to be a way to fabricate a flag gun that could hold 20 flags or so and shoot them into the groung using compressed CO2???

That is the same inserter that I have the only thing I dont like about it is the tip is very easy to bend in hard ground :soapbox:

With the current forecast for our area I think I'm gonna have to break out my flag insertion tool soon(cordless drill).
I really hate frozen ground.
