The company - USIC - is at it again. As I have advised b/4 we are picking up a very large electric contract starting wednesday, October 1. We have been working all of the overtime we needed to keep up with what we already have. In fact, this past weekend was a 'required work' weekend to prepare us for the new work load.
Guess what came out this morning? A directive advising us that we cannot work over 9 hours per day without getting permission every day from our Supervisor! WTF???
I have worked for some large and small companies but I have never worked for a company that has no idea of how to properly manage a work load, Hell, I'm not sure they know anything about the Locating Business.
Some people on this forum and that I know down here assured me that when Staton took over things would get better. Well, so far I haven't seen anything improve.

Same here. In the late fall/winter, if you work any hours on call, then you will be sat at home to compensate for the on call hours. No more than 40, unless you have ot before Monday morning. New directive this year, all locators in this area will go thru a layoff this year, no exceptions. Bust your ass on the weekend and you can have the week off. Nothing like a 3 - 13 hour days then 4 days off (even though you have work in your area). Same $#!+, different name.

FINALLY!!!!

They caught on to you tuggin on those milk makers...

:p

Now you have to call and beg and make sure you call early enough so some help may get sent...

:p

And figure on how long you will need for the over...Just work a half and if you need more call me back... But if I rig my phone right I will be out of service so take it upon yourself to "give back" and keep working to complete those tickets on that unapproved time...If the checks a little short well thanks for giving back...
