Well I finally got out fishing for the first time this year. We were targeting crappie and found them right away. I went out with my father-in-law and we kept about 20 for dinner. Here's a pic of my father-in-law with the best crappie of the day.

Good lookin' fish. Great lookin' lake. How often do you get to go and what do you fish for, mostly?

This was my first time since the ice left the lake. But from now on I go one night a week and then one weekend day. So twice a week.

We'll go for panfish(Crappie and Bluegill) for the next month or so and then when the heat of the summer gets here we'll fish Bass and Walleye and then when fall gets here it's Musky time.

Well I got out bass fishing Sunday with a fellow locator but the water was still too cold. The bass were still on their beds and not interested in eating. We did manage a handful of Northern. Here's the biggest one of the day. The shutter didn't open all the way but you can still see.

Hey Goldenboy... On June 3, you were photo'd in a boat big enough for Popeye. (Something I can afford.) Then Sunday you posted a photo with a nice cruiser big enough to pull 4 skiers. Are they both yours?

Wingfoot. The "Popeye boat" is mine. It was passed down to me from my grandpa(free). The cruiser is my father-in-laws boat. I actually have been saving up for a fishing boat. I will hopefully be making my purchase at the boat show next March. There are great deals to be had. I fish 2-3 times a week and my kids are starting to want to go with but my little 12 ft fishing boat is big enough for the family. I will be buying a modest fishing boat that is big enough to pull the kids on a tube.

Here's a pic of my next big purchase.

I keep a pole and tackle box in my truck for the occasional times that I may need them while working. Heading to a locate today came upon a single lane bridge over a nice creek. Shallow on one side and a huge 10 foot deep pool on the other side filled with rainbows.........it was a fun 15 minutes. :yahoo:
