Avatars and Signatures

I would like to suggest that someone let us in on how to add avatars and images to our signatures, or is this just for the select few?:confused:

Here... Here! I agree! How did y'all get those avatars on there? Mine is greyed out and won't let me add one.

I am uploading avatars now. Those who have avatars have uploaded them from off site. Signatures can be added in your user control panel... or User CP at the top left of the forum.

If you are having problems or just cannot do it... It is not my doing. Let me know and I will see what the problem is.

It took me a little while to get the avatar and signature pictures to work. It is like the old format where you have maximum pixel and size restraints. If you don't have your picture under these restraints it won't let anything work.

I found that photobuckets edit software works best for finding the exact size of your pictures.

I still cant load a custom avatar....it will only let me use the ones on the board or none at all.....

On mine I had the option to add from a url or upload from desktop the signature I added from photobucket

Down at the bottom of the "edit avatars" page it should show a box called custom avatars... That will be below the website supplied avatars. Click the button that says "use custom avatar"

Hmmmm. Permissions are set the same for everyone concerning avatars. :mad:

I know the moderators (which I used to be before the sit change) are able to upload avatars....

Thanks Steve. I pulled my avatar from my Photobucket file. I transferred the Photobucket 'Direct Link' info below my image to the option 2 line in the "Custom Avatar" section. Worked great.

Photobucket now has the edit option available for resizing images to fit our avatar restrictions.

A little late announcing this but the avatar thing is fixed... as of a couple weeks ago. :woot:

Hey, no problem Steve. I know you are busier than a 1 armed paper hanger between keeping this baby up and running like a fine tuned engine and of course that other thing we call work.

Maybe we could do our signatures like car forums. We could have our time in,days without a hit, and brand of locator right in our signature.:)
