Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi wed at their home in Beverly Hills, California, Saturday night.
De Rossi, 35, wore a backless, light pink dress, and her hair in a loose updo. DeGeneres, 50, dressed in pants, button-up shirt and vest all in white.
Before the intimate ceremony attended by about 20 guests, "Ellen and Portia came out and posed for pictures with Ellen's mom and their two dogs," a witness tells Usmagazine.com.
"They were hugging and kissing, and looked ecstatic," the onlooker adds. "Ellen was helping Portia with the train of her dress, which looked like a Cinderella tutu."
The pair, who "were both laughing," walked "all over the lawn together holding hands and posing," the witness tells Us. "The whole afternoon seemed light-hearted."
Wedding plans have been in the works for months.
In May, following the California Supreme Court's monumental ruling that same sex couple's have the right to marry, DeGeneres announced on her talk show that she intended to wed her girlfriend of nearly four years.
"It's something that we've wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited," DeGeneres said.
In June, de Rossi debuted a marquis cut Neil Lane sparkler set with pink diamonds at the Daytime Emmy Awards.
De Rossi has credited DeGeneres with helping her come out of the closet.
"My feelings for Ellen overrode all of my fear about being out as a lesbian, she told the Advocate in September 2005.
De Rossi said the first time she spotted DeGeneres, the comedian took her breath away.
"That had never happened to me in my life, where I saw somebody and [experienced] all of those things you hear about in songs and read about in poetry. My knees were weak," de Rossi said.
In 2005, DeGeneres said she hoped she and de Rossi would be "together the rest of our lives."
"I never would have thought my life would have turned out this way," DeGeneres told Allure. "To have money. Or to have a gorgeous girlfriend. I just feel so lucky with everything in my life right now."

Uhhhm No, She happens to be an older lesbian who likes younger lesbians. Portia happens to be a very googd looking woman straight or gay and then there's Ellen.
Equate it to the fat drunk bald guy at your local bar scoring the hottest girl in the place. Rosie O'donell is the "Militant Dyke"

If you are going to wear the clothes & act like a guy... shouldn't you be required to have an operation... so that you get all the "benefits" (ie.. shaving your face everyday... pee standing up... etc.. )... I mean... does she use the girls bathroom or the guys bathroom... oh... I know... that is why they now have the "unisex" bathroom!!!:hammer:

I look at gay 'marriage' or commitment this way. Our country has ALOT more to worry about and to take care of than this. If two people are in love who cares, who should care, who has the right to tell them no? It's funny that a country who touts 'Seperation of Church and State' yet has 'In God We Trust' on everything thinks it has the right to tell people how they should live in every aspect of LIFE.
We do have the right to say what we like or dislike about this and other issues but should we ACTUALLY say it out loud or should we just keep our OPINIONS on issues like this to our selves and worry more about what's going on in OUR immediate little circle of life?
I personally haven't seen the GAY lifestyle be a factor in ANYTHING that involves or concerns me in areas like Politics, Forgein Policy, WAR the Economy. NOTHING AT ALL!!!!
'Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness' still means something to me and should mean something to everyone in this country, GAY or Straight

I have enough on my plate. I don't need to waste my time with things that don't concern me personally. I think more people should really take a long hard look and come to the same conclusion I have.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for ALL things in MY LIFE.
If TV is too violent or laden with sexual situations = Turn it OFF it does have that feature
Kids sitting in fromt of Game Consoles = Take them outside
Responsibility for your kids acting right = YOURS
To many people would rather bitch and complain for someone else to run their lifes and do what is 'Right'. Personal Accountability and Responsibility are big things with me. Everything else, I could care less about if it doesn't effect me and my family. Things like this don't.

I would rather not have "things like this" shoved in my face by the liberal media and magazine sales. I have an 8 year old little girl and I would rather have the opportunity to allow her to grow up some more before she is introduced to the evils of this world. Let her have her childhood innocence that is being stolen from this generation of children by the people who seem to have more rights than anyone else. Your right end where mine begin, or they used to. But, it seems now that the liberals have all the rights and those of us who are more conservative in our values have to tolerate it. That is just the way the world is. But, I am going to "bitch" about it any time I feel like I want to!!!! After all, this is the America I served to protect and I HAVE THAT RIGHT!

So what your basically saying is that You support the Constitution of The United States only when it serves YOU?
YOU have the power to raise YOUR child anyway YOU see fit.
I know for a fact the Liberal Media isn't parked right outside my front door and they don't control my daily activities.
Oh and by the way do some homework, this Country was BORN out of Tolerance, the BIBLE teaches Tolerance.
Ask the FCC who has more power Liberals or Conservitives? Remember Janet Jacksons Titty incident at the Superbowl? Who bitched about that the loudest and decided that Radio and TV should be fined exorbanant amounts of money for what "Conservitives" feel is 'offensive'?
True 'FREEDOM' is offensive that's the beautiful thing about it.
By the way the America I served and protected was one based on the constitution and to defend it from ALL enemies, Forgein and Domestic with NO Political or Religious bias.
I don't agree with everything and I don't disagree with everything but as I stated before take responsibility for your own life and live it the way YOU see fit. That's what I fought for, EVERYONE'S Freedom.

No That Is Not What I Am Saying! What I Am Saying Is, Your (not You Specifically YOU but - Anybody's) Rights End Where Mine Begin And I Don't Like Having Things Shoved In My Face That I Don't Want To Be A Part Of, See, Or Listen To. While I Do Have The Power To Raise My Child The Way I See Fit, There Are Things That Are Out Of My Control That I Would Prefer She Not Have To See Or Hear! One Example Is The Commercial For Viagra! "erectile Disfunction", "if You Experience An Erection Lasting More Than....", Isn't That Appropriate For A Doctor's Office, Not For An 8 Year Old Little Girl To Hear? What Is The Point Anyway For It To Be On Tv? You Still Have To See A Doctor For The Prescription! There Are More Examples, But I'll Leave It Hear!

Aul.....you have to agree to disagree....i think.....

There is my point. "Why should I have to put up with it and Why doesn't someone else do something about it?"
Tivo works wonders for not watching commercials, but you would have to buy it and learn to use it.
The power button on the remote works for both on and off
The mute button works much in the same way
If anyones nieve sensability is offended in any way shape or form protect yourself from it. It's not a recruitment commercial to rally around for you to protect EVERYONE! Not everyone thinks or believes the way you do. (You meaning you personally) I know people don't belive or think the way I do but that isn't my problem and never should be my problem.
I do agree to disagree but like ladyleatherneck said I don't want my face rubbed in someone elses beliefs on moral tupitude that is based in conjecture, speculation and warped sense of right and wrong.
POINT= STFU get off the soap box and worry about your own lifes instead of everyone elses. The world will thank you for it. (My statement is intended for those who stick their faces into other peoples problems and offer nothing but their own personal beliefs to solve problems that they in no way shape or form can understand or begin to comprehend on a local and global scale)

Seems there’s a growing pluralistic impulse toward tolerance and that is having drastic consequences. Also seems to be pretty lop-sided, i.e., we have to tolerate their promiscuity, their sexual perversions. . . .
Guess I could keep being penalized for their bad behavior by buying Tivo or some other source to keep it out of my house, but it's also invaded our schools, and our churches. No, I think I have as much (if not more) right to force them back into their closets, as they do to infiltrate our lives.
These sodomites want me to accept their lifestyles, they'll need to accept my lifestyle of keeping them away from my/our children.
“But we have forgotten God…We have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom of our own.”

Sure. . . . It's what most law books call those that participate in sodomy. In some states it's still against the law.
Noah Webster 1828: Sodomite - 1. An inhabitant of Sodom. 2. One guilty of sodomy.

Just start watching less tv and try not to buy products from the sponsors of the shows you find objectionable, teach your children right from wrong, remember that you do not have the right to pass judgment on other people, and move on to more important things in your life.

Don’t watch much television, have raised up my children in the way they should go, and have not judged anyone.
The disciples and apostles did not cease to speak out against such licentiousness, nor will I.
Our belief in God ought to impact all areas of our life. So, let me turn the question around: If a Christian has the opportunity as Daniel (Old Testament) did to influence a government/nation/people in the direction of God's commandments... why wouldn't (or shouldn't) they?
Why should we not use a right given us to influence our nation or Americans in a way that befits the faith and commandments of the God we serve?

Please know sprayandpray, I basically agree with what you've said, with the exception of turning my head, and busying myself with other matters. This, and other issues facing our nation, is our matter, is our concern. . . To turn our heads and act as if it's not, is to condone. . . And I don't.

we are all just expressing our own opinions here , respectfully most of the time, and just like you I set priorities in my life. The older I have become the more I realize certain things do not upset or interfere with my life. I also realize that the Christian upbringing I received did influence choices I have made. However, I have learned to recognize that not all people believe exactly as I do and that is their right. As far as trying to influence events on a national level, good luck.
