This was an email:

“It won’t happen to ME”

No one ever thinks they get into a vehicle accident.

It is our driving behaviors that cause vehicle collisions.

It is HOT. The HEAT drains your energy!

Our employee was exhausted from a hard day’s work. He was drowsy.

He crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a vehicle with 5 passengers.

Everyone went to the hospital via ambulance.

Have you ever been so tired that you are not sure how you drove home?

Have you ever had the head bobs while driving?

Have you ever said I just need to make is 2 more miles?

PULL OVER, STRETCH, AND GET SOME FRESH AIR!

This can happen to you…….

If you allow it too!

:medalofhonor:I've got my fingers crossed for everyone involved. I have been in that seat a thousand times, and was always fortunate enough to make it home with everything intact.

Prayers go out to everyone involved.

Everytime I'm on-call I worry about this. I'm surprised locating companies don't have any policies about actually getting some sleep when on-call.

Hopefully everyone comes out of this. The bad thing for the locator is he has to now live with the guilt for causing the accident and subsequently any injuries that accured from it.

It is a horrible thing. If anyone knows the driver, please let him/her know they have our support here.

Date on the pix is 6/25/2007. Someone might know how this all turned out since some time has already passed. I haven't heard where it took place, either.

The guy who composed this email is a safety manager of sorts at CLS. Very nice fellow, he comes up with reminders on a regular basis to stay aware and be safe.

Try eating just peanuts!! And/or after lunch I have one of those 5 hour energy drinks... (the little bottle.. basically a shot of b vitamins)... works fantastic for me... a bit pricey.. $2.99/bottle.. but really does work close to 5 hours and I don't have that jittery feeling or a crash like I did with just energy drinks. Doesn't replace a good ol' nap... but hey... naps are in the winter time right?!??
