I don't know if ticks are everywhere or not but I am sure sick of picking ticks off me everyday. I've been pulling around 5 a day off me.

Does anyone else have to deal with ticks where they work?

Down here it's Chigger time - just broke out the can of repellant.

here too. Was told to use vaseline on them and they would end up detaching themselves cause they breath thru their backs. I have tried this and it worked.

What's a chigger? I guess I could just google it.

Some places they are called Red Bugs - you can't see them but they burrow into your skin and itch like crazy. The best way to kill them is to put clear fingernail polish on them - it closes up their airhole.

I guess I can't complain about ticks too much. At least you can see ticks. I don't know how I'd deal with something I couldn't see.

Had one tick so far. It was quite small so it may have been a deer tick...the one's that are responsible for Lyme Disease.

I've heard the Vaseline thing too. Put a good scoop over the tick, they can't breath and they detach. Then you burn the little ba$tards to death. I've only had two in the almost 3 years I've worked here near Goldenboy's area. I think the trick is to drink a crap load of alcohol over the weekend that way your blood is not so appealing to them :D

If you have enoughalcohol in you, they get drunk and fall off on their own:D

Yeh, the problem is you never know what kind of tick you you going to get drunk. You may end up with one that gets all aggresive and $hit..all it wants to do is kick you a$$, bite harder and burrow in deeper. Then you gotta jump their sh1t. When they realize that someone has called them out and the liquid courage has begun to wear off they start wanting to apologize and claim some young tickhood abuse  has made them like this.
Then again you could end up with the affectionate drunk tick. Now these are a bit creepy, 'cause while they will detach they won't go away. They stick around and and start saying things like "man, you're the greatest" or" we could be great friends" or "I love you, man", or even worse...they just start humping ya.
"Course there's always the introvert tick :o that becomes the funniest tick on this green earth (in their own mind) when you add just a little alcohol. These little sons of b1tches can never get a joke right and even when they do it's not funny. They laugh harder and harder after each attempt until they puke on ya....Then you gotta kick their ass... they start crying and want to apologize, blame past life trauma, want to be your friend and before you know it they are covered in puke and sweat and piss and all they want to do is hump ya................................................ .......................................
I'm so F'n happy to have this site to express myself. I'm tired of have'n to
p1ss test everytime someone at work asks me a question and I feel the need to say what is on my mind.

Oh, it itches like crazy and a red spot appears on your skin where they burrowed into it. They actually make a treatment called ChiggerRid for it, but it's just clear fingernail polish. Hey 6-way, maybe you could carry some of this with you when you are out drinking.:D

Thinkin' 'bout going camping this weekend. Figured I'd do some fishin, hiking grillin' and drinking :) and then I re-read that crap I wrote this past Sunday morning and got a weeeee bit worried. :( So I went to the store (Wally World) and got a camp fogger, citranella candles, chigger rid, deet free lotion, heavily deeted spray, natural repellent, chemical dip.....and lots and lots...and lots of alcohol. Looks like there's going to be a hoot-n-nanny this holiday weekend. :D
