I wondered what everyone thought about Mike Staton's new video message to the company. Are you the 'weakest link' in your group?

Hmm. Gee, I really can't say much for the video, considering all our laptops are ghosted from one which had its sound card disabled! And I don't read lips.

From some of the points which get highlighted on the video, though, you'd think that maybe some of the grousing that goes on here on the cablevine got listened to ~~?

But usually when there's talk about "weak links", it's clobberin' time. Get ready for more cost cutting layoffs, so CYA.And don't forget, we work for a private equity firm, regardless of what you might hear otherwise. And cost cuttin' is the name of the game now....

Those were my exact thoughts Shovelhead. Sounds good! But we shall see! Sure did seem that they are avoiding "production" talk at this time. I believe I heard the word "Quality" a lot. Seems that was a discussion on the vine!

I hear him talking now we will see what they do. It was alot of we know what the problems are and are going to fix them...But not how........

I just hope the new company realizes that with quality the production will go down. But in the long run quality will let the production be down and profits still be up. If they let us spend the time on the locates and do them right the damages will go down and with the costs of damages going down you don't need the production to be so high to cover the costs of the damages.

I have not heard the word production yet this year. For the most part production comes with proper routing and time management on projects. Right now I'm working on an 8000 foot tv upgrade so I'm having real bad numbers but it has to be done.

Nice speech I guess he is not going to make the rounds to all the offices and say hi. I don't think my DM watched the video it's still a numbers game do more in less time and try to throw some quality in there if you can. We are getting rid of the guy's we hired in winter the ones that got something they called training which is a joke. The new guys were thrown to the wolves and are getting cuts now. Time will tell if the boss speaks with forked tongue or not.
