Well as you can see a certian phone company refused to move a pedestal from a building pad during construction and the contractor told them if they didnt move it he would build around it and concrete it in well needless to say it has happened and here is the results a ped inside the hallway of a new office building and the phone compant still refuses to move it unless the builder pays to have it moved. :good: :smash: :rotflol:

Now that is hilarious. It's funny how the contractors always want the utility companies to move everything for free. How much is in the ped? Was just the feed for that building or is there multiple feeds in there?

I'm guessing someone is slipping the building inspector a little something extra for that oversight. "Nope, everything appears up to code to me......"

So what will you do if you get a locate ticket there? Will you mark the cable through the building? In my area I have quite a few cables running under building additions but can't say that I've ever seen a ped inside the building.

I once had an electric company call in a ticket for repairing a street light cable. Ticket stated to mark from the light to the secondary ped in the rear of an address. I called them and told them there wasn't a ped in the rear of that address & they said ok, we will call it back in. We went through this 3 times. On the 4th request, they demanded that my DM meet them out there along with me. There were six of us trying to find this ped...... all of a sudden, the garage door opens and a car starts pulling in the driveway. I looked in the garage - tapped the guy on the shoulder and told him, "I just found your ped." Inside the garage was a cable tv ped, a phone ped, & THE ELECTRIC PED. Turns out the home owner uses the ped to tell her when she has pulled in far enough to close the door. They poured the concrete all around the peds and left a 2' diameter ring of dirt around them.

Could she not have told you they were in the garage from the beginning? That's a story!
