Paul,

Look in the Locator's Lounge for another thread on this very topic, it was started a while back and already has many responses.

they should do it like mechanic's rankings.

silver, gold, and platinum level ranked on variables such as length of time employed, damages no matter how small per 1000 locates, etc. better pay with better level. I think it should have more depth than just three levels though, now that I think about it.

What does onions have to do with locating? I had some on my hot dog tonight. They were good. But, back to the subject. I like the idea scap has of gold, silver, and platinum. Give you a gold bar for every year you've worked for the company damage free! Then we could retire and let the newbies deal with it. Oh, that's right, we don't get any pension or anything when we retire, so I'll correct myself - then we could quit and let the newbies deal.....

Certification is a great idea, the Mechanics spin on it is a great idea.
