If your best friend has to light your ciggarette for you while your wedding dress is being zipped up....you might be a redneck
If the "congregation" at your wedding has to sit on milk crates...you might be a redneck
If you had to punch in late for your shift at Waffle House in order to attend your own wedding...you might be a redneck

I lived in Manassas, VA in 1993 in some condos behind the K-Mart. You're talking about my old stomping grounds. Ran rescue with the squad right down the road.

Got married June 29, 1974...still with the same great lady (she's looking over my shoulder)
Anyway, we started out on the road right after the wedding; heading from Alberta to California. Well, its our July 1'st holiday. Not a freeking hotel room ANYWHERE. Not even one of those "HO" MO'S. (Though we did accidently find a HO MO in Los Angeles when we got there... dead giveaway when the guy says you want to stay the whole night...but that's another thread).
Soooo, we just kept driving, eight hours later, in the wee hours of the morning, we stop our brand new "datsun" at a gas station and recline the seats to catch some shut eye.
My wifey still brings that one up from time to time. "My husband is soooooo cheap, he made us sleep in the car on our wedding night..."
However, 34 years later she has forgiven me....I THINK!!!

How do you compliment a Waffle House waitress? "Nice tooth!"

Ok.. been married twice... first one should have been an omen for things to come... he made the preacher lock the church doors and it was only preacher, maid of honor, me, best man and groom for wedding... 14 yrs later... I finally got out! Still mad at that man for not letting my daddy walk me down the isle!:verymad::verymad::verymad::censored:
Second wedding (love of my life)... my son walked me down the isle and there was maybe 20 people... if that many there. I never did have that big wedding.. but I have 2 daughters that I hope to splurge on some day!
