A good question I found !
Why you plan on voting Democrat.
{with some parameters}
No mention of Bush or Cheney...they're out of the picture in November anyway, or Haliburton.
Issues and examples of why you would vote Democrat over Republican.

TOP STORY Canadians prefer Obama over own leaders: poll
A new poll suggests Canadians would prefer to vote for Barack Obama rather cast a ballot for their own political leaders, while 45 per cent of Americans envy Canada's health care system.

The bi-national survey, conducted by the Strategic Counsel for CTV and The Globe and Mail, showed that here in Canada, Obama was more admired than Prime Minister Stephen Harper -- or any other national leader.
"Some would read (the results) as an indictment of our political leaders," the Strategic Counsel's Peter Donolo told CTV.ca. "Others would say it's an acknowledgement of the phenomenal nature of Obama's appeal. He really is a prototype of his own; he's broken the mold."
Stephane Dion trailed far behind the other leaders, just ahead of Republican presidential nominee John McCain:
Barack Obama: 26 per cent
Stephen Harper: 21 per cent (Conservative party PRESENTLY Prime Minister)
Hillary Clinton: 16 per cent
Jack Layton: 9 per cent (VERY left of centre NDP party)
Gilles Duceppe: 6 per cent (Wants to separate QUEBEC from Canada)
Stephane Dion: 5 per cent (Liberal Party)
John McCain: 3 per cent
Obama appealed to people across Canada's political spectrum, with 24 per cent of conservative-minded voters choosing him and 28 per cent of liberal thinkers.
"I think there's a sense in Canada that we're in a rut with our political situation, and I think there's a fatigue with the nature of politics in Ottawa as we watch it through question period -- the very cranky, minority-government style politics. There's a little more envy than usual south of the border," said Donolo.
This recent poll by The Strategic Counsel surveyed 1,000 Canadians and 1,000 people in the United States.
When it came to health care, 45 per cent of Americans felt Canada had a superior system, while 42 per cent thought the United States should stick with its own.
Meanwhile, the vast majority of Canadians, 91 per cent, felt that Canada's health care system was better than the United States.
Canada tilts to the left of the political spectrum.
When Canadian respondents were asked how to define their political views, regardless of how they actually vote, slightly more than half described themselves as liberal: (Which, in Canada means slightly left of center on the political spectrum)
Very liberal: 12 per cent
Liberal: 39 per cent
Conservative: 38 per cent
Very conservative: 3 per cent
Respondents in the United States were slanted in the other direction, and also had more people who considered themselves on the extreme right of the political spectrum:
Very conservative: 10 per cent
Conservative: 47 per cent
Liberal: 30 per cent
Very liberal: 7 per cent
"In general, I think on a lot of issues the United States are a more polarized society," said Donolo. "When you look at the number of how many hardcore conservatives there are in the U.S., it's a pretty significant number."

So far, the only one throwing stones is the Obama campaign.
Over the weekend his guys tried to dismiss McCain's military background on meet the press. Saying basically being a POW doesn't prepare him to make military decisions..."WHAT!?"
McClain's biggest problem so far is that he is showing too much character. He won't point out Obama's weak points (and there are many!) and he won't talk himself up.
Sooner or later people need to do some homework past the 5 second sound bites on the "news" and listening to Alec Baldwin.
If the mass hourde does that, then we may have a chance, if not, I'm moving to Mexico because I won't be able to afford the taxes in America.
You asked "Why Democrat?" I say "EXACTLY".
Don't just vote democrat because you think Bush is a bad president. If you do your research and still want to vote for someone with no leadership skills, no experience & associates himself gamblers (business partner) & racists (regardless of what they say, that pastor IS racist, or at least a biggot, allegedly...) then go ahead, oh and then send me an email, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you...

Barack HUSSEIN Obama, yes that is his middle name. Can't mention it though in any form of Media. Why?
Ok he's a person of color running for president, whoopdy f*cking doo, so I guess this means NO ONE can say anything negative about him at ALL for ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!
WHITE GUILT is going to give him this presidency and that is ALL!!!!! White Guilt? I don't have any, my family as far back as I can trace didn't and has never done anything to opress anyone. My family came over from Ireland between 1910-15 straight to NYC and some from Quebec, CA. I have no guilt and don't give a rats ass about any injustices ANY races feel or purseave.
All I could think of seeing Barack in Berlin was grainy black and white footage from the 1930's, a bunch of folks in black and grey suits coming out in droves to listen to some NUT CASE on a podium spouting out bullsh*t and talking of a "New World Order", that one was called the Third Reich but holy sh*t don't compare him to Hitler!!! I see both of our choices for this years election as being equally horrible for this country. Neither choice has the ability to bring this country out of the hole that we are in no matter what topic you want to pick and debate. Neither choice has any substanance once so ever, they are as transparent as it gets. Both have agendas that do not reflect in any way shape or form reflect what we as a nation truley need. Problem is it isn't just their faults, Congress has just as much to do with it as who the next president is going to be.

I get tired on Election Day of holding my nose and pulling the lever! I may not have all the answers, but this much I know: There is not a shekel's difference between a Democrat or a Republican. Oh, they may differ on topics that should be a State's rights issue (guns, abortion, queer marriages, school vouchers), but both Parties are locked into a goose step march to send America to the bottom! Just when I think these bastards have sunk to their lowest, I ain't seen shit yet! While the globalist Reagan slept, V.P. Bush was building his drug cartel. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran-Contra_Affair) During the globalist King George the 1st's rule, we witnessed Desert Storm 1 and the proclamation of a 'New World Order.' (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qQU3Egp0oBQ) Then the corrupt globalist Hillbillies, surrounded by Arkicides (http://www.zpub.com/un/un-bc-body.html) and daily scandals gave away all our defense technologies to China (Chinagate) (http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2003/5/26/214938.shtml) just to make themselves multi-millionaires. Now we are finishing up a 2 term nightmare with an even more corrupt globalist, King George the 2nd. He is using the bully pulpit to line his pockets with gold. Our elected officials in the House of Representatives have done very little to hold these crooks accountable. All these people should be in prison for their treasonous abuses of power.
This year will be the same as election years in the past: One worthless, treasonous bastard pitted against another worthless, treasonous bastard. Both hand-picked by the owners of the world bank and financed by international corporations. It's like, which do want? Visa or Master Charge? I can't believe these 2 shills are the best candidates available for the job.
My Election Day routine is simple. I vote U.S. Taxpayer's Union Party candidates top to bottom. Then I fill in the blanks with the Libertarian Party candidates. Those left over, I vote against the incumbent.

Wing,
As always, you make great points. I do not like the fact that we are in a two party system either. Yes, they both basically have their own corporate sponsors & the fact there is such a thing as a lobbyist allowed to sway government for personal gain is just a mindf&^K to me.
The only thing I will rebut is, I think since this is the system we have, we have a responsibility to our country to do the research and vote for the best option we have.
Call it the "lesser of to evils" or whatever, but if we don't figure out who will do the most for us while in office then someone like Obama, an inexperienced, unqualified pitchman might actually get in office.
President is just the beginning, we need to fix congress (democratic majority BTW!!) and the House also. But we do that by trying to find the leaders we can beleive in, vote for them and hope they can do something positive with their time in office.
Being president is kind of like being a locate supervisor, it's such an important position but most qualified people want nothing to do with it because it's a thankless job & you have to eat shit more days than not.
Then you have to wonder why a guy like Obama wants the job sooo bad. He's not qualified, has no foreign policy, tells us he wants to raise taxes but won't tell us where the money is going and windsocks more than any politician I've ever seen before. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, lies, lies, lies and when McCain doesn't take the bait, he lies somemore.
He is a cleaned-up used car salesman.
For the record, I believe McCain is an old school thinking religious conservative that needs to loosen up. But here is the BIG difference, I don't care that he doesn't believe in gay marriage, but I trust him with foriegn policy, his ability to lead our military & he wants to drill for more oil and he is leaving my taxes right where they are.
I'm not a dem or a republican. I look at each race and vote based on the research I do. I usually end up voting republican and/or independant about 85% of the time though. We need to vote and we need to vote for those who we think will be the best leaders. I believe as americans, we owe ourselves that much.
OK, off the soapbox now...:stars: :stars:

An AP-Yahoo News poll (http://news.yahoo.com/page/election-2008-political-pulse-obama-race) that found one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks — many calling them "lazy," "violent," responsible for their own troubles.
Such numbers are a harsh dose of reality in a campaign for the history books. Obama, the first black candidate with a serious shot at the presidency, accepted the Democratic nomination on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, a seminal moment for a nation that enshrined slavery in its Constitution.
"There are a lot fewer bigots than there were 50 years ago, but that doesn't mean there's only a few bigots," said Stanford political scientist Paul Sniderman who helped analyze the exhaustive survey.
According to the poll, when election day comes, 40% of the white liberals of Democrat slant will not be able to hold their noses and pull the lever for Obama.

With a democratic president and majority congress...
Our economy will immediately turn around....
Gridlock in congress will be non existent, bills will be passed and cash will flow here and not abroad like the last 8+ yrs of the bush wars and free trade give aways...
It will be at the least a stand in preserving our economy and jobs here inside the US...
We need to grow this countrys industry and manufacturing again and prevent big business offshoring and destroying this country further by off-shoring THE TRUE economic wealth of a nation...
The low interest rate, real estate sucker play has finally burst further destroying our ever growing poorer middle class. Our jobs are continually being outsourced and done by the chi-coms and all the other countrys offering up slave labor...All this has only led to the reality of trickle up economics (only the top execs of the corporations benefitted from this outsourcing we as employees, common stockholders, and consumers got CRAP!!!) ... The FAILURE and opposite of what the reagonomics doctrine predicted...
The free trade agreements and outsourcing of a REAL economy is what IS now our demise and is CREATING a new socialist society currently being sculpted by our government...Handouts from the government for EVERYTHING will grow and more numbers of people will benefit from being losers with no reason for ambition...Having nothing will create a better value then striving for a better quality of life...
Slaves to socialism is on the horizon...
So my perspective is whatever party gains full voting power to eliminate gridlock will still allow us to have a false sense of better days ahead because they will be more inclined to print Im mean pump out more money through various gobbledygoop programs and reforms to keep our lifestyles somewhat intact...At leat until the nukes start flying around in less than a decade...
Then it wont matter anyway...

WHY oh WHY is the ONLY thing democrat supporters can do is bash GW? I know why! It's EASY and that's the Democrat motto!! It has been PROVEN again and again this whole economic collapse is NOT ALL GW's fault!!!! Bad loans STARTED with Carter and CONTINUED to this DAY!!! Out sourcing and Jobs HEMORAGING from America, yeah, thank your good buddy Bubba Clinton. NAFTA,CAFTA and every other peice of shit acronym passed on HIS watch.
Since I left Active Duty in 2003 I have seen NOTHING but Service Related businesses being built. Gas Sations, Resturants, Mall Expansions. NOT ONE job I have ever gone to in 5 years had ANYTHING to do with a business that ACTUALLY MADE money for the community it was being built in, just places to spend money. I know you have ALL seen it too. You know why? States (my state anyway) RAPES companies that want to build manufacturing plants, the government (EPA) has so much red tape to get around you need a chain saw to cut through it. This whole Green movement and Save the Planet turds have made it NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE to build these types of plants here in the US (the Dems LOVE these people by the way). Now if I own a business that is going to make pollution that the EPA is going to hit me with fine after fine after fine, knowing this, do you NOT think I'm going to start looking elsewhere on the rest of this planet at the other countries who really DO NOT GIVE A SHIT about pollution?
For people pissed off about this war in Iraq for costing billions and billions of dollars, welcome to the day and age of fighting the 'Kinder Gentler' War. Nation Building and Speading Domocracy in a way that wars should NEVER be fought. In World War 2 we and our allies KILLED MILLIONS of civilians, MILLIONS. Oh but policy had to change and we stopped doing that. After that policy shift we have either LOST or tied in every MAJOR conflict we have been involved in. We now fight wars to KEEP popular opinion on the POSITIVE side, smart weapons to minimize civilian casualties and keep collatoral damage to a minimum. God forbid we piss the hippies off again. This country NO LONGER has the BALLS to do what truly needs to be done when it come to fighting an enemy that DOES NOT CARE about civilian loses and does EVERYTHING in it's power to create civial casualties. TO WIN and ACTUALLY PROVE A POINT to terrorists EVERYWHERE we need to pull our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan,WAIT about a month so the Al-Quida and who ever else wants to be there to come back and get comfy and then, DESTROY THE WHOLE FRIGGIN COUNTRY square mile by square mile. Doing that will put Iran in its place, shut Chavez up and countries like China, North Korea, Russia might think twice about doing dumb shit instead of their current view on the US. We are week and we don't really have the stomach to FIGHT a REAL WAR anymore.
With the US so close to the brink as we are I personally DON'T want a Democrat who will begin to dismantle the Military (as they ALWAYS do when in the presidency) making us weaker than we ALREADY are. I don't mind a president that wants to talk to these asshole countries but I DO want one that isn't going to take bullshit either. I want one who will be straight up and lay it all out. You do stupid shit to the US or our allies, WE WILL DESTROY YOU, NO nation building, NO occupation Just DESTRUCTION on a level not seen since Germany and Japan of WW2.

Who ALSO in 1990 was FORMALLY REPRIMANDED by the HOUSE ETHICS COMMITTEE for a RELATIONSHIP with a male prostitute!
And what about Chris Dodd? Boy isn't he just a shining example of 'Change' in Washington? Chairman of the Senate Banking Committe. Who HAS RECIEVED MILLIONS and 'Special Favors' from Country Wide, ENRON (remember them?), Frannie and Freddie to the tune of $133,900 (BEFORE they went tits up!).
SO SHUT UP about your 'wonderful' democrats!!!!!!!! SHUT UP about it all being GWs fault!!!!!! SHUT UP about Obama being the HYPE that he is, he doesn't have an ORIGINAL THOUGHT IN HIS HEAD!!!!!!!

USIC,
You are even more ignorant than I could have ever imagined.....You have yet to even form a sentence that has any real thought behind it. I have to ask you....Do you think? Or do you, in traditional Liberal style, just wander around reacting to every little thing that happens around you, spewing nonsense to anybody within earshot? (Most of whom could care less what you are spewing uninvited into their ears.)
You would be more convincing of a debator about Democrats if you put some REAL thought and intelligence into a couple of your posts. We really can't call them posts, they are more of a spewing of opinion, rhetoric, rumor, fearmongering and manipulation. Simply poorly worded one-liners and nonsense that has to be interpreted-not read, often with links to nonsense ramblings of other liberals or to irrelevant videos. You'll notice that none of your fellow Democrats here have come to help you out. Why? Because they aren't sticking out their necks to help out your cause of pot stirring and fear mongering for personal satisfaction. I'm sure this board is probably pretty evenly split 50/50 Red and Blue -Minus Wingfoot of course-.
I challenge you to post a couple -more than one- thoughtful, insightful, intelligent and punctuated (and spellchecked) posts about why Barack OBama will make a better leader for the next 4 years than John McCain.
I also challenge you to do this without posting links to other publications and/or video sites. I want to hear YOUR facts.
Are you up to the challenge?

Yeah USIC that pen got us right where the DNC wanted us! On the verge of electing someone with a shady history, a barely known background, NO quantified experience, oh my god the list goes on and on, Barry O and that lunatic Joe B. So hooray for the DNC!

Talk about spewing...
I ve made my case with various posts of videos/publications because facts are mostly derived from documentation... Dont we work in an industry that we learned that???
Personal insight/hearsay has far less merit in fact...Not recognizing documented FACTS is the epitomy of ignorance...
Now as Barrack schooled McCain in the last debate by using leadership skill changing the debate format on persuasion of being allowed a secondary rebuttal to defend himself and McCain caving to Barrack just like he would do leading our country, so must I make the case against McCain utilizing my own terms and not yours...
You have put together nada on documented facts only opinion and we all know what that amounts to...
And by the way if its hear/say than for what its worth I am already gathering through media the Barack tax cut offers greater saving than McCains...
I also like the fact that Obama wont hopefully continue throwing money at these useless causes in the middle east...There are greater threats in the world to our country, and at this point the rest of the world can take over if the cause warrants it...We paid our dues, and we need out of there ASAP!!! And yeah thats more about opinion than fact...We ve lost good people for a less than worthwhile cause...What about Darfor for all you bleeding hearts???Oh thats right the Jews and the oil not a humanitarian issue at all... Smoke and mirrors...Trillions of dollars, disabled, and dead young men and women for WHAT!?!?! Big Daddy Seniors revenge and Cheneys Haliburton!!!
Im fed up with that!!!
and if we need to offset all that BS with a Obama a queer and Pelosi then fine maybe it will be a wake up call!!!!
I just dont want the same regime in there...They have royally F U the whole country...
I stated my stance earlier on not voting... So that is still my stance anyway...
But I would rather see a wiser President(for right or wrong) and I feel the smarter guy is OBAMA and not McCain...We dont need another dumbass W type leading our country...I think McCain appears a pushover follower and Obama the shrewder and more tactical slickster that can carry the shiv more discreetly and verbally against our forgein adversarys...
NOW WHERE WERE WE!!!!!

Oh i'm stil here USIC, just waiting for something smart to come from you. I did like your post on the 3rd page though, you know the LONGEST one you have EVER posted although it IS filled with nothing.
As for Iraq I'm pretty much on record for what should have been done there and NEITHER candidate or this country as a WHOLE has what it takes to beat an enemy like that (we do but it gets real dirty real quick and it's political suicide).
So bring it on big boy!!!

Ok USUC1 I'm on record for Environmental Concerns as well. NO OTHER MAJOR COUNTRY ON THIS PLANET CARES ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT!!!!!!!!! Ooooh Canada and US whooopdy F**KING dooo. We're the ONLY chumps even CONSIDERING alternative energy. We're the ONLY chumps who give a SHIT what a bunch of tree hugging hippies have to say about the little animals, bugs and every other CRAP nonsense that comes out of their HOLES. Yeah the EPA? Wonderful bang up job there!
This country use to have CLEAN RENEWABLE ENERGY! Anyone remember HYDRO ELECTRIC??? Oops can't do that though because we would have to build lines to get that electricity from the station to the relay for home use. EPA says there is a field mouse that lives in the way and when that field mouse farts it smells like roses so he is on the Endangered Species List so we can't do that.
Wind power? Yeah again a JOKE! The ONLY way your going to benefit from that is to HAVE YOUR OWN hooked right up to your house. If not THEY WILL CHARGE YOU JUST THE SAME OR MORE for the wind. Smae thing again with the EPA. Studies for bugs and rodents. The EPA is concerned about Bats being killed by the blades and the turbulance of the blades while in motion.
You see what I'm getting at here???? Every time WE DO come up with SOMETHING a Government Agency or a group of tree huggers SHOOT IT DOWN. Ever ask yourself WHY?? Ever ask somone else WHY???
RoadMap
October 19th, 2008, 04:17 AM
Don't worry UPSTATE someone will add 20 million dollar pork barrel project to study rodents and everything will be fine! In another 20 years after we are all broke from paying 4.50 a gallon for gas, the treehuggers might give in. OBAMA will be riding in his armored limo and us that end up unemployed after the economy goes to shit will be riding a bike to our local unemployment office to get our 372.00 a week!
