I was thinking that if I wanted to spend a week in the bathroom, I would stay here and eat contaminated tomatoes.

How many people?
Looking for all inclusive resort or just a hotel stay?
I assume a beach destination? East coast beaches are white sand west are gold sand beahes - preference?
From Chicago east coast would be cheaper MAYBE
Where have you travelled before?
What are you looking to do on a vacation - besides drink beer, get drunk, fall down...

Stay out of Laredo, ElPaso and any other large border towns. This is where the drug wars are taking place.
