How many pieces of locating equipment are you able to carry !

Oops I guess if you count a pin finder to find water shutoffs , valves gas valves manholes etc could be three !

Just a Rycom 8879 here. I wish I had a second piece of equiptment but they took them away. It would be nice to have a back up just incase my primary locator broke.

I could only vote for 4. I actually have 5. A MALA GPR, RD, Pipe horn, Dyna, Schonsted. I use all the pieces for locates.

does having a divine rod count if not then only 1 subsite.....

SOme of our crews will carry a Metrotech 810, a Metrotech 9890, a Pipehorn/Metrotech530 and a GPR Unit.

a rd4000 and a rd400 i would like a new rd8000 or a rycom but all i can do is wish, but i always try to stick to my favorite and john deere with a 12inch bucket.

I mainly use the 4000 ive used a new rycom but when coupling it doesnt seem to catch everything. I have a 4 ft deep att duct when coupling with the rycom nothing hook up the 4000 it bang out a awsome tone I just dont trust them nomore now I used to use the ol rycom with the yellow wand and the reciever strapped to your neck awsome for gas and long locates out in the country would tone a hot pair on a cable for miles.

Rd4000,dial rd400 reciever lighter and more prferred radio and passive but only has 8khz, the Surelock, and a 810...

eat your heart out smbk!!!

I know you re short changed on equipment...

Watch that copper rod dude! At $4.00 a pound for copper you could get mugged if locating in the wrong areas!:jumpinsmile:

BTW, I use a company issued red, yellow, and orange rd4000.
