WOW. I take it the water level got above all the terminals in the transformer. I did see a few phone peds yesterday that were underwater. I never even thought of what it would do to a transformer.

Wish I had taken pics of a phone ped after it got smoked last year. A guy installing sheet metal roofing got too close to some power lines. He contacted one of the lines, the current went through him to ground and set a phone ped 200 feet away with 5 cables running into it a blaze.

I see phone peds half under water, transformer boxes half under water. Where I am right is a joke when it rains, it just sits there for 2 or 3 days. Hell my boots are muddy today and it was 85 and sunny all day.

By the way, that white stuff on the cable ends in the 2nd pic were the remains of some poor fury woodland creature.:icon_eek:

The fios project in va the contractor hit a primary which surged the telephone ped which surged thru the phone line and set a house on fire. dont ask me how why or wtf? all i now is we saw the pics and got a brief overview of that situation because the company didnt want to buy a house.
