As some of you may know, much of the upper management from some of the locating companies like to stop by now and then to read what their locators are posting. They may not agree with everything that is posted and might want to talk to people about what they posted. The only way to stay off the radar screen is to remain anonymous.
Do not sign up with your name or nickname you might go by at work. Also do not reveal where you work or what company you work for. Some on here do and that is their own business. They may not be too worried about it. That is fine. But, if you plan on remaining completely anonymous keep it simple. Don't reveal any personal information that might give you away.
Just a reminder.

Good advice and I would also say to post some as a third person, like you are an employee in a different group, co., etc. That will really keep them guessing. Also, watch out for snitches in your own group.:scold:

I screwed this one up way early on. I guess I'll just have to be nice.
Maybe I could create an alter ego to say somethings. :good:

:hammer: Steve I would not take you for the Willy Nilly kind of guy! :blahblah: I stop by often just to see what the utility locating world is talking about not to spy on employees or any of that BS. You are right though if someone slanders someone with one of their half baked posts then they probably should stay behind a shadow HUH! I really like stopping by and reading most of the stuff but I have seen some things written on here that would make you do this:breakcomp:
PS: keep the paint flowing and keep up the good work with this forum.
Notice that I am not scared one tiny bit.

Thats all good. I have heard that some locators have been talked to and threatened. Some managers (not all of course) are too insecure to allow their locators to talk to other locators about the daily BS.

That being said... maybe its time to start a notorious short-cuts thread...

You are right Steve trust me I know first hand.
What the managers dont like is when they are trying to keep things a secret and what they are hiding ends up on here long before they want it out like the SM&P/CLS buyout we saw it on here a good month or so before it happened and when we approached the manager they denied the whole event thats why they probe this site just to see if their secrets get out from thier own levels to us before it is said so moral of the story is upper management is not so tight liped either they have let info fly out just like the secret computer code on the last site what was it two days after the install?? So managers need to whatch thier mouths too :scold: we all saw the little battle last time between two CLS managers on here :rules:
