All the great ELM locators are now working for someone else due to the mis-management. It would not surprise me if ELM lost Illinois also.

I was talking with a good friend of mine who is a Locator for ELM in Springfield IL and He or She (not to give them away) was saying that the State Mgr. is running scared. He has threaten to never hirer anyone back if there jump ship early do to the Ameren contract or If there lose the contract and anyone leaves early he will not hirer them back in the future. I guess this State Mgr. is a real hot head. I hope you IL. ELM locator's do OK down there !!!

Heard the same thing about ELM. (I,E, manager making threats to those who want to leave). Also claiming they have the entire state for Ameren and it hasn't even been awarded yet. They were still interviewing vendors this week.

That is ELM Company Motto, but when it comes down to it they will still hire an experienced locator.

I don't think ELM does private locates. I do, however, think that employees of ELM do private locates on the side with out approval of, or knowledge by the managers.

Swag I can tell you that ELM does do private locates only when they feel like it. The request gets called into the supervisor or manager of that area and then they decide if they want to do it, have time to do it, or even want to get involved with it. It really would come down to how the area was doing financially at the time, if they needed to raise their income for the month to off-set any costs then they will probably do it. If not they will blow the request off and tell whoever to call someone else. But in most cases the sup or manager would do it themselves so the hourly locators could stay on their routes. At least that was the SOP.

I use to work for ELM out of IA and they do private locates but alot of it is done on the side they have to get some cash anyway they can as the upper management is not handding it out to the locators that are out making the co. money as the upper management are sitting on thier butts not doing a thing but collectting a pay check.
