Yep that's about the price of gas here.
That's why I'm so glad we take our trucks home. My personal truck I put gas in about once every 2 weeks.

Yes you are bang on there. I am the same way, hardly ever fill up my own vehicle now that I bring the truck home. Kind of an unsung benefit I guess.

I was reading some news how diesel is 11.50 a gallon in england and 11 in other parts of Europe...
The truckers and taxi drivers and fishermen are going nuts over there..
Its even worse than we have it here...
And its no joke...This sh!ts BAD BAD BAD!!!
Truckers are boycotting by blocking roads and threatening to shut down the economy if the governments dont take action...

Hey guys, want a shocker?
Today, I filled up the company truck at $1.28.9 a litre.
There are 4 litres in the U.S. gallon so that $5.15 an American gallon.
BUT WAIT...THERES MORE.
A Canadian gallon is based on the Imperial system (British system) so it is actually larger that the American Gallon.
There are 4.54 litres in a Canadian Gallon.
Do the math...that's $5.85 a Canadian Gallon for low grade gas.
Scary as heck isn't it?
BUT WAIT IF YOU ACT NOW AND KEEP READING you will learn that 33% of that price is tax. Thats $1.95 taxes per gallon. OUCH SQUARED.
The Canadian dollar is on par with the U.S. dollar so the "buying" power is equal.
Take off all the freekin taxes and we would be almost par with price.
